Brighton Class Visit Besson Street Community Garden

Excitingly on 29th January, Brighton class had a wonderful opportunity to visit Besson Street Community Garden in New Cross! Earlier this term, we learned about SDG11: sustainable cities and communities as part of our Global Learning Week, so we wanted to explore more about how large cities are becoming more sustainable.

Once we arrived we were split into two groups. Whilst one group explored a whole range of objects made from recycled, repurposed and reused materials (including a photo frame made from Elephant dung and an image of a house made from cans and mortar) the rest of us were using our creative skills using recycled materials and designing our very own 3D heads!
