The Bigfoot Theatre company visited year 1 and performed ‘Come and See Anansi’. Adrian was fantastic and we had great fun watching his performance at the beginning of the day. In the afternoon we were lucky enough to have class workshops with Adrian and we learnt about being a performer and using tableaux’s to tell a story. We used our bodies and facial expressions to communicate feelings and emotions and finally retold our own Anansi stories. The day was filled with lots of laughter and some of the children shared their reflections of the day….
“On Monday it was our lucky day. Adrian was telling us an Anansi story. We were all laughing and giggling.” – Tiffany Huang
“It was funny and wonderful at the same time. I like it because it is a Jamaican book. Adrian shared a beautiful story with us.” – Parris Kelly
“My favourite part was when we joined in to act out digging the hole. I liked it when he caught all of the different creatures and the snake.” – Alex Morgan
