Congratulations to one of our Year 6 pupils who has come 2nd in an anti-idling poster competition run by The Lewisham Road Safety Team.
The aim of this project is an opportunity for all schools to raise the profile of poor air quality in our borough. School pupils in Year 5 and 6 across the borough were invited to design a poster that will be used in local car parks and areas where drivers tend to keep their engines running. This has been found to contribute to the local air pollution, which is harmful to our health.
We were pleased to be part of this campaign and will continue to raise awareness about this issue. Keep a look out for the poster as 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners posters will be displayed across the borough!!!
