The Tearful Teddy Bear

In Year 2 our topic this term is ‘Who is Emily Brown?’ We have enjoyed doing role play and writing in a range of genres linked to the texts by Cressida Cowell. Manchester and Bath class had a French Teddy Bear picnic to cheer up the Tearful Teddy Bear from the story. We have designed our own umbrellas to save the Tearful Teddy Bear from the hovering cloud that keeps making her feel sad and wet.

To help her feel better and stop her from feeling blue we have written poems to go with our umbrellas with each sentence starting: My umbrella is…

We performed our poems to each other in class after creating our umbrella masterpieces!
