Exeter Class eat and drink like a Roman!

Exeter class visited the British Museum on Wednesday 3rd February to take part in a Roman ‘Eating and Drinking’ workshop!

During the session, which was held in the gallery, we investigated how archaeologists find out about the past by working with clue cards to locate specific objects, used a Roman recipe as a stimulus for finding out about utensils and food preparation and we handled Roman pottery extracting information from a single object.

Our guide, Jo, was extremely helpful and guided us through the entire process. We’ve learnt a lot about the Romans and even handled Roman artefacts!
