On Friday 15th March 2019 Year 3 visited Deptford Creek Education Centre as part of our Geography and Science topic on Water. The children took part in the Low Tide River Wade and were involved in a guided walk in Deptford Creek wearing waders.
During the day the children had the opportunity to take part in outdoor and adventurous activities where they began to understand the key aspects of rivers and the water cycle while observing the human and physical features in and around the river. During the day they observed how the land use of the area has changed, they investigated the Creek as a habitat and identified a variety of living things.
