Admissions
Apart from nursery places, all applications are processed centrally by the London Borough of Lewisham admissions team. They follow Lewisham’s Determined Admissions Criteria.
Reception intake
Children start in Reception the September after their fourth birthday. You can apply for a place at Rathfern online via the Lewisham council website.
Applications can be made between Septemeber and January for a place the following September.
Nursery intake
Children may start Nursery the September after their third birthday. Applications for a place in our Nursery can be made directly to the school, by collecting an application form from the reception desk and returning it to the school.
Applications can be made at any time before the end of April for a place the following September.
We offer 25 places for the morning session and 25 places for the afternoon session. We also have full-time Nursery places available. Please note that a place in our Nursery does not mean there is automatic entry into the Reception class in our school. A new application will need to be made.

If you’re applying from another Lewisham school, you will first need to meet with the head teacher of your current school to discuss your reasons for wanting to move.
