Friends of Rathfern
Welcome
We are Friends of Rathfern, a registered charity and the official Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Rathfern Primary School.
We are a small team of dedicated volunteers — supported by parents, carers, and staff — who work together to strengthen our school community, fundraise for enriching experiences, and create memorable events for our children.
Our goal is simple: to ensure every child at Rathfern has the best experience possible during their time at school.
What We Do
Through events, fundraising, and projects, we help to:

Fund class trips, workshops, and experiences that enhance learning.

Provide resources and games to support SEN students.

🎡 The annual Summer Fair — our biggest event of the year!

We also love to surprise pupils — whether it’s Santa visits gifting books at Christmas or exciting raffle prizes at school events.
Every penny raised goes directly towards improving the school experience for our children.

We depend on the amazing support of parents, carers, and the wider community to keep our events running and our fundraising strong.
There are many ways to get involved — both in-person and behind the scenes:
Volunteer In Person

Support or bake for our monthly bake sales — we aim to rotate volunteers to share the load.

Join the core committee — we’re currently looking for a shopper/stockist to help manage supplies.
